Gordon Spirits: Ladies and gentleman...boys and girls, I'm coming at you from the sold out Saginaw Super Arena for a very unique card! In all my time hosting major pro-wrestling events, especially events in an arena like this one, before a sold-out crowd...this is indeed, the first time that I can tell you that our card consists of ONE SINGLE EVENT. That's right, this time, the main event IS THE EVENT! Now, that might sound like a gip, but this main event is a four-way elimination bout between four of the brightest stars in all of wrestling...
From the ashes of the Universal Warrior League, we have the man who has brought a unique brand of violent insanity to the squared circle...and who, unfortunately, has not left it in there bought rather brought chaos and destruction with him wherever the security presence is lacking...the former Universal Warrior League tag-team champion and world heavyweight champion...Madman!
A man appears at the top of the entrance ramp, a menacing figure in a battered, leather biker's jacket, silhouetted against the arena's big screen monitor. From beneath a wolfish mane of dark, rangey hair a hard, scarred face directs a glare of focused hatred towards the ring. He stalks down the ramp without so much as a sideways glance towards the fans. Whatever music surved as his entrance goes unheard, drowned beneath the veritable typhoon of boos. And yet, even with the separation of the guardrails and the barrier fencing, the audience members shrink away as he passes. Not so much as a crumpled up paper is tossed at him.
Gordon Spirits: What a withering look...if I believed in such things, I'd call it a deathstare. Looks can't kill, but certainly, the message in those blazing eyes of his is clear. He might be crazy folks, but don't ever doubt this man's focus. At one time, during the heyday of the Universal Warrior League, he sat atop the wrestling world...and perhaps the entire sports world. But those days are long gone...and if he wants to regain that glory...well, here's one man he's going to have to go through! The former XWF tag-team champion, the ADCC Submission Wrestling world champion...the master of submissions...KnightMask!
From the loud speakers blasts At Vance's rendition of 'Eye of the Tiger' as KnightMask charges forth from behind the curtains. The capacity crowd cheers while the masked wrestler sprints down the ramp, picking up speed until he slides beneath the bottom rope and rolls to his feet. Bowing his head, KnightMask makes his way to a corner of the ring and kneels down briefly. Crossing himself, he stands and turns to face Madman.
Gordon Spirits: KnightMask's cowl and golden-framed ruby quartz visor conceal his face...but you can't hide the tension between these two men...Madman, well, he just made a good old fashioned throat sloat-slitting gesture his thumb...KnightMask, with rippling muscle but certainly a lower center of gravity and less mass to throw around than his rival...Madman is a rather small heavyweight, but he could play Goliath to KnightMask's David in this particular case...but hold on fellahs, this is a four-way match, after all...and here comes number three, all six feet, four inches of her...I don't know what her mother named her, but we call her Athena Fury...she's wearing red shoulderpads like a football player...and underneath, she's got shoulders like a football player too. She's got the face and figure of that most men would judge a 10, with all apologies to Bo Derek...but the fists and feet that register a 10 on the ricter scale in terms of damage...just ask the fellahs she ran over in the Lord of the Ring tournament...this lady is 103-0 currently...and she's looking to extend that streak tonight...and add Warrior Wrestling gold to that slender waist. KnightMask extends a hand towards the lady gladiator, in a gesture of sportsmanship and...ooo, nothing sporting about that! Athena responds by grabbing KnightMask by the throat with one hand...and his belt line with the other...that's a high, high military press by Athena Fury...and our fourth man hasn't even gotten to the ring yet, but it looks like we're off the races!
Athena Fury hurls KnightMask through the air, right into Madman...for a collision that has both men knocked silly! Before either man can recover, Athena is on them, smashing their heads together like a pair of symbols...with her opponents dazed, Athena focuses her assault on KnightMask, tying him up in a Muay Thai clinch and unleashing a storm of knee after knee straight into his solar plexus...now tossing KnightMask's limp form aside, she turns...right in time to see Madman bearing down on her...oh, and she caught him coming in with a front kick...and now Madman is reeling again...Athena Fury launches into the air with her patented flying knee...batter up, home run by Madman as he catches her mid-flight with his own specialty, a Heart-Stopper punch to the chest! She felt that all the way through her padding and armor! Welcome to the big leagues, Ms. Fury...
While KnightMask struggles to gain his feet and Athena Fury writhes on the canvas, clutching her chest, Madman throws his head back and roars savagely. Grabbing Athena Fury by the ankles, he begins to spin her around, with such speed and velocity that her body beguns one huge blur.
Gordon Spirits: I think Athena is still out cold from that Heart Stopper...but now Madman's got her in another specialty, his Death Cycle! With the speed he's spinning her, when he lets go...its not going to be a very safe trip for Ms. Fury...and there she goes, a human missile...she's headed towards the crowd...
A great, massive hand seizes Fury by the ankle, halting her flight and then gently setting her down outside the ring.
Gordon Spirits: It's our fourth man! It's Big Dusty Haystacks! The genial giant has joined the fray...and unless I miss my guess, I think Madman might not be a fan of ol' Dusty...hold on now, this isn't a hardcore match...but Madman's pulling out some sort of blade...and KnightMask--he's back up with us--takes Madman in a nice old-fashioned wristlock, inducing him to kindly drop the toy...KnightMask utilizes the pressure of the hold to flip Madman over onto the mat...Madman rolls with the pressure, he's back to his feet...and folks, we're off to the races! Madman and KnightMask are exchanging rights and lefts in the middle of the ring...they're both swinging for the fences but Madman's greater size and strength are taking over...Madman staggers KnightMask with a blow to the throat...now he's coming off the ropes with...oh, KnightMask with a drop toe-hold, taking Madman to the mat and now pressuring his leg and ankle...
A vast, dark shadow falls across KnightMask and Madman.
Gordon Spirits: Oh my...now I have really seen it all...it's Big Dusty Haystacks up on the top rope...Madman is too busy trying to get free from KnightMask's toe-hold, KnightMask, too busy applying the hold...I don't think they realize that they are directly in the path of a human meteorite...Big Dusty flies off the top rope, arms spread...if it were a pool he was splashing into, I guarantee he'd empty it of all the water...
The ring shakes beneath the impact as Big Dusty lands belly-first on Madman and KnightMask on completion of one of the biggest top-rope splashes in wrestling history.
Gordon Spirits: Neither KnightMask nor Madman are moving now...and Big Dusty's first bit of offense in this battle royal, well, it was a doozy. Wait...Athena is back in the ring, she's brandishing her bo-staff....and she just cracked Big Dusty on the head with it! The Big One whirls to face his assailant...and Athena whacks him again...I don't think Big Dusty liked that too much, but I don't know if it hurt him as much as it just annoyed him...oh oh, Athena gives it a third try with the bo staff, nailing Big Dusty below the belt this time...and that was right in clear view of the referee...she's DQ'd...and it is the first elimination of this contest...security is coming to extricate Athena from the right...their pouring in and it's taking about ten of them but their dragging Athena kicking and screaming to the back...meanwhile, the referee is now taking to a 10 count because we've got three gentlemen down and out in the middle of the ring...Madman, using the ring ropes, is struggling to his feet...KnightMask, as the referee tolls six kicks up to his feet...and now it looks like Big Dusy is joining them in the land of the living...and with speed that surely belies his bulk, he charges his two opponents with a double clothesline...Madman is floored, but KnightMask manages to duck beneath and now he leaps onto the big man's back and ties him up with a sleeper-hold! Big Dusty is a yard wide and double-tough, but even he needs to breath...and, HEART STOPPER by MADMAN! Right to the chest of Big Dusty even as KnightMask was applying the sleeper to the big man...I can't believe it, but the superhero and the...well, I guess you'd call him a supervillain...they actually worked together...Big Dusty is out cold...there's no count necessary...his eyes have rolled to the back of his head...I think KnightMask is rather alarmed at this...he's kneeling down to check on Big Dusty's condition, which doesn't look good...a Heart Stopper punch to the chest is enough by itself, let alone when you're in the throes of a sleeper hold...
As KnightMask is checking on Big Dusty, Madman takes the opportunity kick him in the rib cage. A flurry of stomps follow, before Madman relents and pulls KnightMask to his feet.
Gordon Spirits: Madman helps KnightMask to his feet...and KnightMask helps himself to a wheelbarrow roll, into a knee-bar...Madman counters with a cross-face about as nasty as his disposition...he takes the top position and now he's laying into the Masked One with some vicious ground-and-pound...and we aren't talking rights and lefts...we're talking headbutts, elbows...but from underneath the withering assault, KnightMask manages to secure a body-scissor and with a swift movement, secure a triangle choke! Madman immediately reacts by standing and heaving the smaller man up into the air, even as KnightMask maintains the choke...Madman slams him down to the mat...KnightMask holds on to the choke...Madman lifts him high, high this time...and brings him down and, KnightMask utilizes the momentum to flip Madman head over heels, still in the choke and now on his back...for the 1, 2...no, Madman's foot is on the ropes...breaking the count...both men to their feet, Madman whips KnightMask into the corner, KnightMask leaps onto the turnbuckle and them presses off into a flying body-press...Madman catches him mid-air...he's going for a body-slam...KnightMask floats out of it, he's behind Madman, looking for a suplex...Madman reverses, KnightMask once more executes the wheelbarrow roll into a grapevine on Madman's leg...and now he secures an Achilles lock this time...and they are in the middle of the ring, there's nowhere for Madman to go...the ropes are nowhere in reach...
Like a cobra, Madman's fingers shoot out for KnightMask's throat, imbedding in KnightMask's adam's apple in some weird death grip. And so as KnightMask wrenches on Madman's Achilles tendon and ankle, Madman digs his fingers into KnightMask's throat.
Gordon Spirits: Madman may very well be choking KnightMask to death, while KnightMask could very well be in the midst of crippling Madman! Seconds are ticking away but from here and I'm sure for those gladiators, it seems like several eternities have come and gone...this is more than a battle of wills...Madman is destroying KnightMask's throat...as KnightMask destroys Madman's ankle...! Madman is screaming...perhaps in pain, but I'm not sure...and KnightMask...KnightMask is unconscious!
OUR INAUGURAL WARRIOR WRESTLING HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION...IS MADMAN!
Even as the referee calls for the bell, Athena Fury suddenly emerges from the crowd, armed with her bo staff. Sliding into the ring before anyone can stop her, she begins pounding the exhausted Madman with the staff.
Gordon Spirits: It's bedlam in the ring...Madman is the champion...but Athena Fury is laying into him with her bo staff...where is security...? That's all the time we've got folks...we'll be back...if there's anything left!
